We're talking bookish holidays, anticipated releases, and fashion *but make it science* this week! Get spring-ready with my six favorite reads so far this year!

April is here and it feels good!!

The weather is warming up, flowers are blooming, and summer books are starting to make their debuts!

Summer reading is my favorite!! It's full of bright, happy, inspiring reads that put your brain into an overload of joy!

Today is International Children's Book Day!

I wrote a children's friendship journal last year titled Shared Diary Society for Friends that allowed me to blend my love of education and reading into something beneficial and tangible. It was the experience of a lifetime and I'm so thankful for the pictures, texts, and messages I've gotten from you seeing it in bookstores!

I recently found it in Barnes & Noble for the first time - yes, it's been out since September 2023 but I didn't go looking for it. Honestly, I was afraid it *wouldn't* be there and I didn't want to be disappointed.

I put my heart into this book to create something that I could give to my former students with pride. I hope it's what the little one in your life needs too!

Onyx Storm announcement

This is not a drill: We have our first look at the next book in the Empyrean series!

​Onyx Storm will be the third book in Rebecca Yarros' viral best-selling fantasy series, following Fourth Wing and Iron Flame.

She partnered with her publisher, Red Tower Books, and Books-A-Million to make the announcement on Instagram.

The collaboration with Books-A-Million makes me believe there will be some kind of special edition only available through their stores. Keep an eye out for that!

It will release on January 21, 2025! I'll share more here in the months to come.

Six Five-Star books to read this spring

The first quarter of the year is over and I read six five-star books!

There is something for everyone on this list! I hope you'll use it to guide your spring reading.

Whether you're a content creator planning your content calendar or a reader who loves an excuse to head to the bookstore - April really shines for the bookish community!

April 18 - National Children's Book Day

April 23 - World Book Day

April 27 - Indie Bookshop Day

You can bet your local bookstores and libraries will be planning for these celebrations. Let's bring that energy to social media too!
