Clear your TBR, this series is about to reign

This book series gives me hope

Hope for my reading future. Hope that there are authors who are actually working hard to provide quality books without the inclusion of sex/money/drugs/murder/etc.

Hey there!

I need to tell you about the Emma M. Lion series.

Maybe I've been living under a rock, maybe I've just been focusing on an entirely different genre of fiction the past several years. (Yes, it's that one.) You can read more about my reading pivot here.

Either way, this series has been a breath of fresh air and one that I have not stopped thinking about since I started it.

Right now, there are eight published books in The Unselected Journals of Emma M. Lion. written by Beth Brewer. The first few books are super short and, as the world of St. Crispian builds, the books get longer.

Friends, they are glorious.

Dry British humor. High vocabulary. Light, clean plot lines. Christianity is a pillar of Emma's life (and the books) but not central focus to the stories.

They are completely written through diary entires, which I just LOVE. There are stories of antics in town, mysterious neighbors, rival cousins, and so much more.

These are books you can recommend to your mother or read with your teenage daughter. They're appropriate for all ages!

I keep describing them as "a treat." They're a light, easy breath of fresh air.

Right now, there are eight published books in the series with a ninth on the way. The release of the ninth has been teased but a release date hasn't been shared.

I hope you enjoy these stories as much as I am!

I've added them to my list of Book Recs for the Christian Woman.

ICYMI - a steam mop changed my life

In case you missed it, I shared on Instagram that a steam mop changed my life. Yes, that's dramatic but it's so true. This tool has completely changed the way I view mopping. It's as hassle-free as you can get. Hello, it does the scrubbing for you!!

It makes quick mopping after toddler meals feel a breeze. I don't have to load a bucket of water. I don't have to use toxic chemicals. I don't even have to refill the water chamber every time. What a win.

If you want less stress in your life, you need a steam mop. I'm being so serious. Clean floors = Calm mind

You'll thank me.

You can always reply directly to this email if you need a recommendation for something specific or just want to chat!

Thankful for you!
